We want to make the magic of Camp Winnarainbow work for your family!
We know families are working hard to provide fun and valuable experiences for their children. Camp Winnarainbow provides a couple different pathways to request financial assistance for summer camp tuition.
Payment Plans
Any family may request a zero-interest, time-payment plan to finance tuition. Register your camper for the session(s) of your choice and email the office within one week of enrollment to request a time payment contract. Indicate the amount you want to pay monthly and the payment date, and the office will work with you to set up a schedule.
Financial Assistance Grants
If the cost of Camp Winnarainbow tuition is inaccessible to your family, we offer tuition assistance on an application basis. If you want to be screened for financial assistance, DO NOT register your camper through the direct registration process – instead submit a financial assistance application by following the steps below, or reach out to arainbow@mcn.org for more detailed information.
How To Apply
The purpose of our financial assistance program is to assist families who would not otherwise have the financial means to come to Camp Winnarainbow. Financial assistance is granted by a committee of CWR alumni and administrators, based on a family’s need and on our fund availability.
For summer 2026, financial assistance applications will open on Tuesday, December 2nd and close on Sunday, February 8th. If you miss that deadline, you may submit a late application, and your request will be added to our financial assistance waitlist. Please send an email to arainbow@mcn.org as soon as possible if you are submitting a late application.
Beginning with the 2025-2026 cycle, financial assistance applications will be submitted through the same portal we use for camper registration. (Click the blue “Register” button above or go here.) We hope this change will make the process of registering campers and completing paperwork smoother for everyone, and we appreciate your patience as we make the transition.
Notifications and Selections
We receive about twice as many applications as we are able to award, so the submission of an application does not guarantee financial assistance, nor does it save a spot for your camper(s) in the event that your family is not awarded financial assistance. Direct registration (a.k.a. full pay registration) is often completely full by the time financial assistance decisions are announced in March, so please carefully consider whether to apply for financial assistance. If your family is not awarded assistance, it is unlikely that you will be able to register through the full-pay process at that time, although you are welcome to join our waitlist. Families may not register through the full-pay process while also submitting a financial assistance application – we ask that you choose one pathway or the other.
Starting in January, our screening committee will begin to review applications. Application screening will continue through February, and we will notify families of grant awards in March.
Am I Eligible?
Use the chart below as a guide to determine your family’s eligibility for receiving financial assistance. If you have a TANF, SNAP, or FDPIR case number, you are automatically eligible to apply.
| Income Range | 1 camper | 2 campers | 3 campers |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0 to $75,000 | eligible | eligible | eligible |
| $75,001 to $125,000 | NOT eligible | eligible | eligible |
| $125,001 to $150,000 | NOT eligible | NOT eligible | eligible |
